Oak Tree View – Brunswick Junction, Western Australia

About Oak Tree View Agistment & Spelling

At Oak Tree View, we don’t just offer paddocks, we offer proper horse management.

We are a purpose-built, professionally run agistment and spelling property in Brunswick Junction, Western Australia, focused on welfare, condition, consistency, and individual care.

Every horse on our property is treated like a valued athlete, a future champion, or a much-loved family member, and often all three.

We specialise in:

  • Performance and ridden horses
  • Spelling racehorses and performance horses
  • Long and short-term agistment
  • Horses needing structured weight, condition, or recovery management

🌱 What Makes Us Different

Oak Tree View is not “set and forget” agistment.

We operate with:

  • ✅ Regular Body Condition Score (BCS) assessments and monitoring
  • ✅ Individually adjusted feed and management programs
  • ✅ Ad-lib, farm-grown, tested hay in paddocks via huts and hay nets
  • ✅ Balanced feed programs with required minerals
  • ✅ Salt blocks in every paddock
  • ✅ Concrete auto-filled troughs
  • ✅ Paddock, horse, and condition monitoring, not just fence checks

We don’t wait until a horse looks bad to act. We manage conditions proactively.

🏗️ Facilities Designed for Real Horse Use

Our property is continuously improving and built for real-world use, not just good photos:

  • Large shared and individual paddocks
  • Riding paddock + grassed arena with lights (being resanded)
  • Round yard
  • Wash bay & tie-up areas
  • Holding and tack yards with more under construction
  • Ride on and off the property
  • New tack storage bays
  • Lights across key working areas

Everything is designed to support daily handling, training, rehab, and performance prep.

🧠 Experience, Systems & Standards

Oak Tree View is run by people who:

  • Manage performance horses and rodeo horses
  • Handle spelling racehorses
  • Rehabilitate and recondition underdone horses
  • Maintain detailed records, condition tracking, and feed systems

We use:

  • Digital records
  • Arrival welfare reports
  • Ongoing condition tracking
  • Transparent communication with owners
  •

Your horse doesn’t disappear into a paddock and get “checked sometimes”.

⭐ The Oak Tree View Standard

We treat every horse like a hero, or at least like King Kev, our resident rodeo superstar. That means:

  • No shortcuts
  • No neglected condition
  • No “she’ll be right” management
  • Just good horses, good care, and proper systems

We’re not the cheapest. We’re not the biggest. We are very, very serious about doing it properly.

📍 Who We’re For

Oak Tree View is for owners who:

  • Care about their horse’s condition and well-being
  • Want more than just a paddock
  • Appreciate structure, monitoring, and communication
  • Want their horse managed like it actually matters

Minerals

We have a range of Salt licks, mineral blocks, and other licks in our paddocks to keep horses' mineral levels right and to enrich their fields.

We are huge fans of Carol Layton's minerals and stock a range for whenever we may require https://balancedequine.com.au/

Adlib Low Sugar Hay

We provide Adlib low-sugar hay to most paddocks all year round. Hay is provided in hay nets, or hay huts, and for the big guts, we put them in a net in a hut (with the highest hopes). Low-sugar hay is grown on the property and sourced from local high-quality properties. All hay has had multiple tests prior to making it to the paddocks.

Holding Services

Holding Services are available by appointment for a Timmer/Farrier, dentist, vet and more.

We organise, book and hold for Bodyworkers, Farriers, Dentists and Vets, making it easy to keep your horses on a regular care schedule.

We are lucky to call to have the following team on call:

Kiss Horsecare our Trimming & Bodywork Team. https://kisshorsecare.com.au/

Equine Dental https://pegasusequinedentistry.com/

And our on call vet and saviour Arun https://www.facebook.com/arun.ramachandran.5661/

Rugging and Fly Veils

We try to keep horses as natural as possible here. However, we understand that older, sick or TBS need extra care. We can and will rug horses who require it, discuss rugging with our team.

Fly veils are provided and applied as required, these are regularly disinfected and washed before wear

Sand Rolling Pits

Most horse paddocks contain a Sand Rolling Pit area. The horses love having a roll, and the ones who have been in a paddock without one, the first thing they do is have a roll!

We refresh our sand rolling pads every other year, and do have paddocks without sand for the horses who just cannot be near it.

Large Riding areas, Obstacle Paddocks, and Laneway systems

Layouts are updated regularly to reduce boredom, support new and trained horses, and provide enclosed paddocks and laneways that allow owners to manage horses safely and confidently.

Holding Yards, Wash & Tie-Up Areas

We have large, safe, purpose-built areas to tie up, tack up, wash, and hold your horse.

Our holding and working yards are:

  • Solid, secure, and well maintained
  • Cleaned and managed regularly
  • A mix of sheltered and open yards to suit different weather and horse needs

These areas are ideal for:

  • Grooming and tacking up
  • Wash downs and cool offs
  • Vet, farrier and trimmer visits
  • Saddling, unsaddling and general handling

With the addition yard upgrades, even more yards and working spaces are currently being built to continue improving functionality, safety, and convenience for both horses and riders.
