KISS Horsecare has been working in consultation with Carol Layton of Balanced Equine to develop a high fibre, low sugar horse feed. Simple Fibre is based on the recommendations made by Dr Elenore Kellon VMD, and has been developed to assist your horse to maintain normal health, production and performance. Simple Fibre is ideal as a feed for horses in low to medium level work and a great base to add to for those in more intense work, and with a view to making your daily feeding regimen as simple as possible. Simple Fibre is a cost-effective and healthy alternative for your horse with a recommended daily feeding ration of 1 kg per 500kg.
We have been feeding this mix to all of our horses with great results. Additional feeds can be added for horses in higher work or 'harder keepers'
Minerals and Salt are in our feed and added. However, we also have a range of Salt licks, mineral blocks, and other licks in our paddocks to keep horses' mineral levels right and to enrich their fields.
We are huge fans of Carol Layton's minerals and stock a range for whenever we may require https://balancedequine.com.au/
We provide Adlib low-sugar hay to horses who need it. Hay is provided in hay nets, or hay huts, and for the big guts, we put them in a net in a hut (with the highest hopes). Low-sugar hay is grown on the property and sourced from local high-quality properties. All hay has had multiple testing provided
Holding Services are available by appointment for farrier, dentist, vet and more.
We organise, book and hold for Bodyworkers, Farriers, Dentists and Vets, making it easy to keep your horses on a regular care schedule.
We are lucky to call to have the following team on call:

We try to keep horses as natural as possible here. However, we understand that older, sick or TBS need extra care. We can and will rug horses who require it within the same agistment fee, including if it's just so that people do not have to ride a wet horse.
Fly veils are provided and applied as required, these are regularly disinfected and washed before wear
Most horse paddocks contain a Sand Rolling Pit area. The horses love having a roll, and the ones who have been in a paddock without one, the first thing they do is have a roll!
We refresh our sand rolling pads every other year, and do have paddocks without sand for the horses who just cannot be near it.
